The West Side of Madison starts from Whitney Way on the east to West Towne Mall on the west, and from University Ave/Lake Mendota on the north to the Beltline on the south. The West Side is the perfect location for many Madison home and condo buyers. The West Side holds more of a suburban lifestyle with only a 10 – 15 minute ride away from the University of Wisconsin and Downtown Madison. Homeowners get the best of both worlds.
West Side homes offer a unique mix of more square footage than homes closer to downtown, and more affordability than homes further out from downtown. There are many numerous schools that are walking distance from all the neighborhoods.
Madison’s West Side Elver Park is the largest park in the area. In the winter, it is always busy with cross country skiing and sledding for the whole family. The Fourth of July fireworks are a crowd favorite.
